Monday Media Review: The Ghoulie Girls

This Horror Loving Duo Bring Lots of Heart to the Stream

Twitch is one of those platforms where any viewer can search for any site and likely find a niche streamer who shares their passion. I sometimes use it as background noise but when I really want to harmonize with my enjoyment, I go looking for the intersection between horror movies and video games. At that intersection, you’ll find the Ghoulie Girls.

The delightful duo of Boo (my son’s first word) and Zombi are the content creators behind the brand. They stream almost every night of the week, diving in to popular horror games like Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th, Graveyard Keeper, Alice: Madness Returns, and 7 Days to Die.

What sets these talented gamers apart from some others is their ability to negotiate their gameplay combined with their engaging personalities. They are never too engaged in a game to be positive, welcoming and polite to viewers. Most nights, dad jokes and bad puns are a free-for-all, with the hosts trying to answer a pop culture question while dodging the torture of horror icons.

The Ghoulies each have instinctual comedic timing. Trained or not, they are so in tune with their viewers and their genre, that they can throw out a line or a joke and instantly connect with anyone watching. Get to know them if you can. You’ll want to stick around once you do.

If you love gaming and horror movies and gaming about horror movies, you owe it to yourself to check out The Ghoulie Girls!

One Love,

nK
