USANA Health Sciences partners with Healthcorps

I posted previously about the Health & Happiness Summit, put on by Dr. Oz and USANA Health Sciences.

As it turns out, that was just the beginning. The two organizations have decided to team up in efforts to help with children’s health worldwide. Dr. Oz’s foundation, Healthcorps leads great programs like Dr. Rovenia Brock’s Fit Kidz program. (Dr. Ro is awesome on Twitter. Go follow her!) The Healthcorps foundation is truly dedicated to defeating the obesity epidemic in America and throughout the world. The first joint effort between the organizations was a Teen Cooking Competition with Chef Rocco DiSpirito. The high school age contestants prepared dishes for a panel of judges including Dr. Oz, Lisa Oz, USANA founder Dr. Myron Wentz, USANA CEO Dave Wentz, and Chef Rocco.

Following the event, the video below was released, announcing a firm partnership between USANA foundation and Healthcorps.  Check out the doctors exchanging thoughts on their mutual visions, and the decision to unite in the efforts toward children’s health.

With all the efforts that Dr.Stacia Kelly and I do toward children’s health, this partnership was fantastic news. We’ve already worked with USANA Foundation over the past few years, and we are excited about this partnership. This opens a number of new opportunities for us as we look to expand our efforts across the globe.

One of our latest efforts is National Push-up Month (#NAPUM on Twitter). We’re looking to raise funds for our trip to Alabama at the end of March. With a few donations, we can afford to bring additional students and trainers to help rebuild Hale County. Check out info on NAPUM here, and re-visit last year’s Alabama project here.

All the best,

Nick
